Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data the inglivo app ("the app") collects, how it is used and what rights you have. inglivo is an app for learning American English, developed by Diego Contreras Garcia, based in the Dominican Republic ("we").

1. Data we collect

• Account data: your name, email address and password, to create your account and log in. Your password is stored encrypted (with a one-way hash): nobody, not even us, can see it.
• Learning progress: level, completed lessons, scores, streak, exams and certificates. It is stored on our server, linked to your account, so you get it back when you log in on any phone.
• Messages with the AI tutors: the text you type or dictate in conversations, to generate replies and corrections.
• Voice: when you use the microphone, your voice is converted to text to assess your pronunciation. We do not store audio recordings.
• Subscription: your plan and its status (active, canceled). Payments are processed by Apple or Google; we never receive your card details.
• Preferences: app language, daily goal and reminder time.

We do not collect your location, contacts or photos, and we do not use advertising or cross-app tracking.

2. How we use your data

• To provide lessons, exams, certificates and conversations with the AI tutors.
• To save your progress and send the streak reminders you turn on.
• To email you a code to reset your password when you ask for it. We don't send you advertising.
• To manage your subscription and free trial.
• To improve the app and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal data.

3. Who we share it with

• Anthropic (AI provider): receives your conversation messages to generate tutor replies. We do not use them to identify you.
• Cloudflare (hosting of the app's server and accounts).
• Resend (sending the password reset emails): receives your email address and name.
• Apple and Google (app stores and payment processing).
• RevenueCat (subscription status management): receives an identifier of your account, not your name or email.
• Authorities, only when required by law.

4. How long we keep it

We keep your account data and progress while your account is active. Messages with the AI tutors are processed to answer you and are not kept longer than needed to provide the service. If you delete your account in the app, your account and progress are removed from our server right away; technical backups are gone within 30 days at most, except what the law requires us to keep.

5. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of or deletion of your data at any time. You can delete your account from the app (Profile → Delete account) or write to us. You can also turn off notifications and microphone access in your phone's settings.

6. Children

inglivo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under that age. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), store passwords encrypted and limit login attempts. Service keys stay on our server, never inside the app. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

8. Changes

If we change this policy, we will notify you in the app before the changes take effect.
